Get Control of Meetings

Are your people overwhelmed by meetings?

Is your organization looking for ways to reduce costs?

Meetings now consume 30-40% of the average professional's day. Remarkably, a third of this time is wasted. 62% of all meetings lack a clearly stated objective and agenda and almost half of all professionals rate the quality of meetings at their organization as fair to poor. The good news? Get Control of Meetings Seminar boosts meeting results while dramatically lowering costs.

Commitment

In today's competitive and rapidly changing world there is no doubt that work, and life, includes some big challenges. People, and organizations, that stay committed and don't give up are on their way to seeing their visions fulfilled. Countless people have experienced this by staying committed and not giving up, while others have given up just one day or one dollar short of realizing their dreams.

The Heart of a Champion Commitment program seeks to build the level of commitment from every individual on the way to reaching the organization's goals.

Compassion

Compassion is a word often misunderstood. Many people think that to be compassionate means to give money to those in need, or to hug someone when they are feeling down. These are aspects of compassion, but compassion is more than that. It is entering into someone else's pain, suffering or hardship with them. It is stepping into their circumstances and providing comfort, assistance, or both. While the word sometimes sounds soft; it does in fact signify tremendous strength of character. Compassion involves not only one's emotions, but also their will, or heart.

Compassionate people have a genuine understanding of what another person is going through, they are sacrificial, and consider others above themselves.

The Heart of a Champion Compassion program seeks to build a stronger sense of empathy and concern for others in each individual and motivate them to extend themselves in order to improve their interpersonal relationships, their workplace, and their communities.

Leadership

Throughout time, the great leaders in this world have most often attained their positions not because of talent or achievements alone. Rather it is largely because of the influence they have on others, and their ability to get others to follow them.

Regrettably some leaders still use fear, intimidation, and manipulation to get short term results with predictably negative long-term consequences. Yet, research reveals that the most successful organizations are led at the top by people who genuinely care about their team or colleagues. The best leaders are servant leaders who practice servant leadership everyday.

The Heart of a Champion Leadership program seeks to build the qualities of servant leadership for people responsible for entire organizations, departments, teams, projects, or small groups of peers.

Respect

To respect someone means that you respect who they are and what they stand for, even when you may not agree. Respect their freedoms, boundaries, and convictions. Sometimes it even means respecting your adversaries and competitors. Certainly at work the old proverb "you reap what you sow" applies meaning. We will receive back in the same measure whatever we give of ourselves to others.

The Heart of a Champion Respect program seeks to build a stronger sense of appreciation for others while motivating individuals to give of themselves to improve their workplace and communities.

Responsibility

Many prominent people today have achieved great public exploits. While their achievements draw our attention and may even make us a fan, often their personal lives are a mess. Being responsible means being faithful to carry out what is expected of you with excellence, and worthy of the trust that is placed in you by others. The Heart of a Champion Responsibility program seeks to build the faith and trust people have with one another to get the job done with excellence.

Self-Control

The concept of self-control comes from the Greek word egkrateia, which means inward strength and restraint. Self-control is the inward strength to bring every physical and emotional appetite under control. A person who demonstrates self-control is one who masters their desires and passions, rather than being mastered by them.

Self-control is more than just moderation. It is the determination to stop indulging one's self. It means a desire, want, or craving will not rule an individual. If an individual does not want to be controlled by anything in life, they first must gain self-control.

The Heart of a Champion Self Control program seeks to build a stronger sense of self discipline for each individual as they strive to become the best they can be within the workplace.

Teamwork

Many of the world's top entertainers, athletes, and business leaders are great individual performers, but don't necessarily make good team members. Many of them create a lot of damage on their path to success because they are self-focused rather than others-focused.

The true champions of industry, sports, and media have humbled themselves and become "team players" truly focused on teamwork. They are willing to set aside their own personal success for the benefit of the team or group.

The Heart of a Champion Leadership program seeks to build a stronger culture of teamwork within your organization so that everyone really does achieve more together than they could on their own.

The One Page Business Plan

The One Page Business Plan is an innovative approach to business planning that captures the essence of any business, project or program on a single page using key words and short phrases.

Most companies use the process to create not only the company's overall plan, but to create a plan for each supporting department, project and program. Its structure helps groups of people agree on and align around a set of strategies and objectives — and then effectively implement those plans.
